Ok, since we are starting to get this forum rolling I asked "995" to let me do some spring cleaning of the membership. Basically get rid of all those fake members and Bot-members that have accumulated over the years.

If I happen to erase your profile cause it looked suspicious, please email me at: j_bouche@hotmail.com to see if we can get it fixed.

you might send out an administrative email before doing this. That way valid people who have registered and haven't posted might do so and pick things up around here a little.

Yeah, I was trying to figure out how to do that... but so far its been pretty obvious who is a member and who is spam.

I've already deleted about 70 profiles... now I know how GM feels

Hey Bushman and 995,

I'm registered in here as TexasBullFrog and as TexasFrog

If you want.. you can go ahead and delete the TexasFrog account, I'll be posting with this account (TexasBullFrog)..

It's the one I use in most of the message boards.

Thanks,

TexasBullFrog

I would suggest that active members change their profile in order not to appear like fake users.

Simple things like:

Posting more than one or two interest

Adding a very specific location (not an address or anything but like "Houston Texas", something more than just USA)

Post something (at least 3 post on anything). If you issue an opinion on something it will be more than enough. Most spam programs don't post and very few just do a standard greeting post, no opinions or anything that would mentions the main subject of this forum.

Your safe dude.

Right now I'm going through people that have Zero post for and have been members for over 18 months.

Also, members with objvious spambot names.

And not to be issolationalist, but members with loactions as Iran, Tobago, Malawi, Switzerland and the such, get extra scrutiny.

I believe they should get extra scrutiny in all things.
