Ditto. Current admins there and the far greater part of attendees seem to be pretty good folks.

We have nothing to gain by wishing the current users of that URL any ill-will. I'll join in hoping they get their problems worked out.

Yeah, it seems we've had a server malfunction. "The techs are on it." Whatever that's supposed to mean. Hopefully we'll be back online here soon enough. I'm just hoping it wasn't too major and cause any excessive delays, or worse yet, cause any loss of data. :dunno:

Cheer all you want to. I might even be cheering on the inside a little because I don't have to herd any cats for a minute. :D

Not to mention, are you REALLY prepared to deal with us whack jobs when we migrate over here?

Nope let it go. Some of the old mods stop here sometimes but don't bother anyone.

99.9% of them are welcome over here at any time! But there's some valuable content and contributors over there.

Would be a shame for it to go away!

So I was just talking to the techs and we are having a hardware issue with the servers. The forum will be online and offline randomly for the next day or two while they correct the issue. Access using the app is only minimally affected for some mysterious reason.

See that's the thing. I'm not trying to push the forum left or right, politically. I would never want to be on a gun forum that had fallen all the way to one side or the other because it's a firearm forum, not a political soap box. Pretty sure a gun forum that fell all the way to the left would probably be classified as "anti-gun" though and technically not count. lol Although, I will admit, I do like the recent influx of the foilhatter scenarios we've had spinning around there. As far as the political correctness of HPFF, I've been tasked to keep the main forum PG-13 while letting the members only area pretty much do what they want without letting it turn in to something Larry Flynt would even be shocked about. We do have several outspoken gun owners who happen to be very liberal on our forum. Two of them are even on my staff. It keeps the debates spirited, and they do take some sound beatings from our other members.

The main reason I am being asked (told) to keep the main forum neutral is because Hi Point has us listed on the "About Us" page of their site directing people to HPFF as the go to place for learning about their line of firearms.
