Two questions all rolled up into one.

How soon do you think the antis will use this as an argument to disallow concealed carry, and how much stupider will this make the residents of South Carolina look once the big, liberal, northern media gets ahold of the story?

Well, probably not long... but they also tend to not report all the times a CHL holder difused a situation or defended themselves.

I do have to say, that I would never leave a loaded firearm within a child's reach.... and if you think "well its inside a bag and inside a holster with the safety on".... well, then you have never seen a kid tear into a toybox or a new toy in a box... those are not obsticles. She got complaisant with a loaded firearm and has unfortunatelly payed the price.

very unfortunate, and Walmart will probably soon prohibit firearms in their stores. WOuldn't surprise me if it encourages a push to stop selling them, too.

Its not always us little people that make the stupid mistakes, remember the vp shooting that guy with the shotty? Stuff happens. It could as well have been the little girl getting ahold of the womans prozac and eating them thinking they were candy.

Very unfortunate and I am glad the little girl is doing better. I hope the child and the judge both learnt a valuable life lesson.

Happy shooting Dave Gillespie - (Sharp Shooter), you will be missed and remembered.

We will miss you Jerry Roberts - (woodyubet), you will not be forgotten.

We are better off from having known you Dean Stephens -(ampersand) It wont be the same around here without you.

A Veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount of "up to and including my life."
