Just got my C9 and put a small box, 50 rounds, through it. No problems in going BANG and I do like the weight in reducing the recoil. Reminds me of bull barrels in plinking.

It does rattle without a magazine though. I'm trying to contact Mom to see if it's natural, but I can't call during work and that Ohio 11 AM time isn't working with my work schedule.

I ordered some more magazines because I want to shoot instead of reloading.

Quick questions for you guys:
A) When does the service center open?

B) Does your magazine drop free? Mine tends to hang up.

Overall I'm highly impressed with the C9. Made in America, lifetime warranty, great price and extra magazines are low priced.

:welcome: from WV.. It's fine if you mag hangs. It will pop out when it's time. Try loading to the max for a couple of weeks. Mom is home, but not on the weekends.
Good choice in guns.

No problems is normal. Yeah, it's heavy.

You'll get used to it.

More magazines is never enough.

Try 9 a.m. Ohio time. If you are in CA you'll probably have to get up earlier.

No C9 mags ever dropped free from any HP pistol I had.

They're okay, I guess. Until you want a .45 or one (soon to be more) of the carbines.

It's beginning -- can you feel it yet?

Mom has been on vacation (she opened at 7 A.M. Ohio time, you are roughly 3 or 4 hours behind)...yes the rattle is common, and the mag will require a break in period.
:welcome: from Ohio.

The rattle works just like a rattlesnake it scares off the bad guys. Seriously though as said before all is normal as for the mag id take the slide off as well as the grips so you can see where it is hanging up. A little sandpaper should fix it

Give her a trigger job and convert it to accept 1911 mags. Then go.get some 15rnd colt magazines, modify the mag well to.eliminate the mag rattle and enjoy. I love my hi point but they do need a little polishing to be near perfect.
