After much research about a home defense carbine, I chose the 4595 and so far it's a great firearm. I have a beretta so the caliber choice was easy. There are a few questions I have though, and some are probably best answered on a opinion basis...
1. Is there one trigger lock that fits this better than another?
2. Did anyone else have the same hard time I'm having changing the along mount screws? The rear one flipped over nicely, but the front has proven to be a PITA... I managed to scar up the side rails trying to seat the threaded nutcert and it is holding for now...
That's all for now, but I'm sure there will be more!
Thanks,
Ed

Excellent choice, the 4595 is a good carbine and IMNSHO the best product HiPoint makes.

Okay-I'll bite: why would you put a trigger lock on a home defense firearm?

Didn't change sights - mine are set up as it came from the box.

:welcome:

I second the confusion on a trigger lock with a HD firearm.
I'm not even sure how one works to be honest. One came with my c9 I think but it received less than a passing interest. On the other hand I don't have chillins or let them into my house.

Welcome! I understand your position of needing an HD gun to be locked up. Here's what use...
