Hello to all! I've owned my C9 for 3 years now, and love it! It's my only handgun, but back then, I wanted a NEW gun. It was the only one I could afford, besides a Cobra. I was sold on the warranty, 9mm & positive reviews. I now have 584 rounds of fmj and jhp fired, for 12 stoppages. ( 8 double-feed, 3 ftf & 1 stovepipe ) All I do is spray clean with Rem Oil after shooting. :D

Welcome gbeecher! I don't break down my C9 very often either. But I do scrub the bore after each outing and keep the ramp and mags clean. When I do break it down for a thorough
cleaning I put TW25 grease (lightly) on every wear surface. It likes it a lot!

If the mentally deficient are not allowed to own guns then why should they be allowed to make gun laws?

Welcome, I just shoot the heck outta my JHP and JCP and only break them down every 500 rounds or so. Run a patch down the bore after every trip though.

Never have heard much good about Rem Oil, might try something else and get better results.

Agreed on the Rem oil. I've used it to coat blades to aid in rust resistance and seen that when it sets, it gets sticky. Not really what you want
in a weapon, especially one that doesn't have perfectly machined surfaces. Grease is the better lube. But don't make it to thick. IE, I wouldn't use wheel
bearing grease. Especially in cold weather.

I now use exclusively, Mil-Comm TW25b. Rated below zero to 400 degrees. Synthetic grease. I use it in ALL my semi-autos. Oil in my revolvers.
