This is on my local PA forum. The gunshow was this weekend. It seems there are a lot more HP owners out there that like their Hi Points just as they like their high end pistols. It just surprised me from this forum.

Hurray for the father-in-law! He found a gun he could afford and his son-in-law talked him out of it yea! Good son-in-law. Prejudice at it's finest. Maybe he'll get the message after reading all the posts in the affirmative and tell the FIL he had a good idea after all. :dunno:

Thats good to see. Either there are more Hi Point fans these days, or there are more owners that were in the closet coming out.

For that forum, PAFOA, the comments are a positive, overall. These people are very opinionated on guns. They rarely admit to owning or liking a "bargain" gun. It surprised the hell out of me when I read the comments.

Like to see these debates. Most liked them, knew them and chastised the son for talking out his ass.

id say most are just pissed that a $100 gun can shoot just as well as a $1000 dollar gun. My HPs are still my favorite for the simple reason they are there if I need them. I have my .45 in one of my trucks and my C9 in the other id never dare leave any of my other pistols sitting in a hot humid truck they would rust up in a week. I just open the action and spray them down every month and they are good to go. They are ugly as hell but man do they take a beating I just wish they had metal sights as I keep breaking the plastic ones

I hear ya, my local Okla board is made up mostly of a bunch of asses that have nothing good to say about Hi Points or any other inexpensive weapon.

The ONLY reasons I go to that board are the local sales and to keep up on whats going on with Okla gun laws.

I love the post by the guy that says the handguns are garbage and run like crap. But the carbines are pure brilliance?!?!?!? Somebody needs to go tell the idiot that the geometry and design are essentially the same!
