I'm guessing most of us here are old enough to remember the animated Christmas specials of the '70s. In particular, the one about Rudoloph comes to mind. He and an elf who wanted to be a dentist ended up on The Island of Misfit Toys.

Seems to me I gravitate toward groups of misfits as I bounce through life. That's is a good thing BTW.

Misfits are good people, you just have to be careful because they take pleasure in your discomfort. LOL

I have a question. My wife has a cf-380 and it had a few deep gouges in the top of the slide, I sent it in and they replaced it. We went shooting the other day and I saw where it was starting to get little nicks in the same place on the new slide. I feel that she limp wrists her gun, just the way she holds it and a few FTEs. Could the gouges be the cause of limp wristing? I have shot my C-9 and JHP a Hell of a lot more and have a few nicks here and there, but nothing like hers. Thanks........

I can try. I can't of the old ones of course because I sent it back and they sent back a new one, but I can try to take a pic of the new ones. Mind you they're not so bad, YET!

This leads me to my next question. I was browsing the Cheaper Than Dirt site for 9mm ammo and I saw the have 147 grain FMJ ammo. I had no idea they even made a bullet over 124 grain. Could the HP handle such a bullet? I know my dad's Taurus book says 124 grain maxes the gun out, I realize that HP is a more rugged gun so it might shoot it just fine. Anyone shot such a bullet from their HPs?

This is just my opinion, but I would think you would be ok shooting them, as long as they are a standard load (not +P) and you do not shoot them all of the time.

Hi Points can handle +P loads, but they do not suggest that you shoot them all of the time, and I am not sure if the heavier projectile plus more pressure would be a good idea.

Thanks, Walt. I figure you could shoot a friggen rock out of an HP. It's a horse of a gun, but I need to call the company for sure. When I do, I'll let you know what they say.

I hope it's a good enough pic. I could take it down if that helps.
