not long ago my wife asked, 'just how many guns do we own?' I answered her truthfully and then she asked how we were on ammo. I couldn't believe it!

My wife has asked me if we ought to buy more ammo on several occasions. :minigun: :great:

If the mentally deficient are not allowed to own guns then why should they be allowed to make gun laws?

I know I am old...but the day I buy a fridge that requires payments is the day my daddy will come up out of the grave and put a whuppin' on me. :(

Last fridge I bought was a $350 unit, three years ago. No ice dispenser or anything, but it keeps milk cold and ice cream frozen.

We got a gas stove last year...the "last years" model, convection oven, black/stainless, large oval central burner for griddles...$500 when every other similar model around was about $1200.

I like your thinkin! But just how do you survive without your fridge having instant access to you via the web???? :wow: :funny: :funny:
It's sad that some folks really are this way. I made that mistake when I bought our last stove. A glass-top (BAD mistake!) convection oven (Haven't used it yet) touch screen programable ( :thinkin: ) black with a warmer section. I should have kept the propane stovetop with a electric oven. The best of both worlds. Of course I'm comfortable with a micronuke and a 35 year old Coleman stove too. BTDT. When we first moved to Iowa we cooked for two years on open fires on the ground outside every night year round. Couldn't afford to buy propane or charcoal but had plenty of wood since we heated the house exclusively with it. :thumb: Which leads me to my second biggest mistake in household appliances. Installing an air-to-air heatpump and getting rid of the woodburner after 17 years. We went from a 150 electric bill to (last months) $450 electric bill and that's with the temp set at a constant 62 degrees. :groan:

Heatpumps are pricey to run... no doubt. That's what we have here. Fortunately, warmish winters and I can run the swamp cooler much of the spring and fall.

Could you put the wood stove back in to supplement the heat?

Ex- I think I could although they said it's not a good idea to run the hot air over the heatpump coils. Trouble is I can't afford a woodburner and all the duct to connect it.
