...The most fun gun at the range is a little Phoenix Arms 22lr. At pistol distance it's plenty accurate too. It's not as tight a groups as my 1911 or SR9c, but it's not nearly as expensive to run and if I were teaching a beginner the much snappier calibers keep them from learning the basics...

Love my little HP22A as well...have both barrels for it, but I never put the 5" barrel on it...I stick with the shorty. Trust that gun enough that it's my "stash in the truck" gun that fits in a very small lock box and is very hard to find... even with three loaded mags. Accuracy is relative...If I have to revert to it, it's accurate enough. Won't take it to the range...do throw it in the Jeep if I'm offroading, just nice to know it's there, and it's fun to "plink" with on extended lunch breaks. Since space is limited enough in a Wrangler...smaller is better!

I a true emergency, I'd much rather have one of my 9mm's or my 1911R1. But hey, rather have it than nothing at all!

I got to shoot 2 of my son-in-laws pistols. A Glock 27 45acp and a 9mm Smith & Wesson SD9. The Glock was a nice gun for sure! Fit my hand pretty well. The grip is wider than my JHP because it holds a 13 round double-stack mag. It was lighter but had more recoil and the trigger wasn't very good. Both made it a little harder for me shoot.
The Smith was a nice gun too. Smaller and had a surprising amount of recoil!! But a pretty good trigger pull. Both had really nice sights. It made me a little nervous to shoot guns that cost that much. If I had lots of money, I'd just buy one of everything!! He did say, "You have to start somewhere." about my JHP!
Oh well... He doesn't know what he's missing!!

No way!! We are the anti-snobs!! :D
I was looking at youtube where a fellow was bashing the Cobra Arms .380, and a bunch of people responded to his video by saying instead of buying a crappy Cobra, people should save up a little more money and buy a Hi Point!! :great:
And for the record, I don't know if you've looked at some other sites, but there really are some people out there who get totally get off on bashing Hi Points. I don't know if it just makes them feel better or what but some people go waaay overboard with the nastiness. That's why I like this site, there's humor and everyone acts like adults - well, most of the time!! ;)
