Husker - You are correct!! It is a Virden, MB phone number! Pretty much straight north of North Dakota - which, believe it or not - Is pretty much straight north of me, in South Dakota... :hmmm:
Not much gets by you Husker, does it! :D It still is pretty high priced, even for Canada, isn't it? Maybe an extra import tax or tariff?? Or just in high demand?? :dunno:

The word "restricted" in the ad is a give-away

I have seen a NIB 4595TS go for $675 in California.

The first time I saw one of these black rifles was at a gun store in Sioux Falls not too long ago. It was a 995. My Glock lovin' son-in-law was with me and he was pretty impressed with it too. I think it had a $375 tag on it and it was the only one. I think I'd like to have a 4595!! :minigun:

There seems to be more items in stock at the places I order from, still a long ways from what it was like before Obama and the school shootings, but we are heading in the right direction. I went to two Wal-Mart's in the last 2 days, both had 45acp on the shelf, even though it was late afternoon. The first one had 9mm ammo on the shelf, I bought 3 boxes for the store.

I just hope nothing happens to reignite the panic buying.

When I look at gunbot.net there is more ammo available for sure. Reloading supplies are still a little scarce. Especially primers and some powders.
All it will take too reignite the panic buying IMHO is Obama's next anti-gun thing he does - whatever it may be!! He has 2-1/2 more years to go and nothing to lose. I'm not too optimistic. A wacko that does another mass shooting somewhere would start the panic again as well.

Yup, that's Canada for you. But that's expensive even for us. Usually our guns go for a little bit more, but not double what you guys pay, for eg. last gun I got was a G20 for right around $650. I know, you guys can get one for 550, but at least I can still pick up a brick of .22's for $25 :na:

I hear you guys can get the Soviet SVT-40's dirt cheap compared to the prices we have to pay in the US. :doublegun:

Could find them for $250 around beginning of the year, but most online places are wanting $300 for one now. Was really close to getting one when I was going through my milsurp phase, just love it's styling. But everyone I talked to said they were a bad design, and i'd be better off with a Mosin. But Mosins just didnt do anything for me, so I ended up getting an unissued Polish TT instead for $200. Anyways, they still turn me on whenever i see one, what's your experience been with the SVT's?

I had one many years ago, I remember it fondly. Real PITA to clean shooting surplus corrosive ammo, but fun to shoot. I guess its been about 30 years ago and if I remember correctly I paid 300 or 350 for it in very good condition with 1 mag.

Now you are not going to get one that is a parts mixmaster with repaired wood for less than 900 bucks or so and they go up in price fast for nice examples

Wow, all the $300 examples I've come across online are described as being in "good" condition. Btw, I keep refering to online shops because none of the 3 lgs in my city stock them.
