This might be old news, so apologies for being behind the times. Someone told me that high point changed its warrant from following gun to original owner only. Fact or baloney?

Still the same according to their website

"The Hi-Point of Service

Damage, age, and plain old wear and tear - these things happen. When they do, Hi-Point customers
enjoy a lifetime, no questions asked warranty. And lifetime means just that - free repairs for the life of the gun, whether you are the first owner, or the third."

If the mentally deficient are not allowed to own guns then why should they be allowed to make gun laws?

Hi Point is one of the best for customer service, and they take the time to care about their customers

I just purchased a new C9 in Jan 2016 and the warranty information states it applies to the "original owner"

Just now took this again from the HP website...

Damage, age, and plain old wear and tear - these things happen. When they do, Hi-Point customers enjoy a lifetime, no questions asked warranty. And lifetime means just that - free repairs for the life of the gun, whether you are the first owner, or the third.

Seems a little disconnect from the printed information from the website information.

yea, I've heard that they've done that before. But as far as I know it's still lifetime. Could buy a broken one from
a pawn shop for $25. Send it to the factory... if they can't fix it, they send you a new one.

I think I'll be finding out first-hand about their warranty before too long...
The beloved JHP is starting to show a little wear and I don't think it's shooting as well as it used to.
The next time I go to the range with it I'll know a little more.

If I ever do send it back to mom, I suppose I better remove my fancy Mahan sight before I send it, shouldn't I??

I always wanted to visit Mahan, Iran - Then I could tell David all about the "Sights in Mahan"...
