Called to see about a guide rod for the recoil spring for that used 995 I bought.
Seems the older models do not have a guide rod.
The tech asked me how the gun was running and I told him it was going bang every time I pulled the trigger. He said he'd send me a manual, a Hi Point tool and a new recoil spring to replace the old spring.
Great service, Hi Point!

I made a steel guide rod for my JCP out of a grade 8 bolt that works great.

I'm impressed with the Hi-point tool. It fit's everywhere to break the 995 down. It will even walk out the Receiver Clip.

I found this page a while back. It's nice to see how a 995 is put together, but damn,,, check the price's of the parts. I think it's an older model.

Rev_Biff, thanks for sharing that one. Encouraging news for this new 995ts owner.
