Point being? Just referring to the search engine positions?

If that's what you mean, there are a couple reasons of which some fixes are in the works. ;)

Thanks to all for your input. There were several members that experienced some of the same problems I explained with the "Other Hi Point Forum".

Sad that Mom has elected to pick "that other forum" over this forum. I sure hope Mom is aware that one of their largest social marketing tools is not allowing many Hi Point users or potential users to fully participate in that forum.

My Hi Point 995ts carbine has put to rest any doubts I may have had about the lower cost product. Over 300 rounds of various types ammo with 4 range trips and runs as smooth as a baby's butt. Accuracy is very good.
I just hate it that many of the Hi Point haters & gun snobs find "that forum" as a way to fuel their argument that Hi Point products are all inferior.

I'd bet that your carbine gets even better as you go!

It's been about 4,000 posts ago, but when I 1st got my JHP I signed up on the other-side ...

Seemed like there was a fair amount of strange people over there.
One in particular that sticks in my mind called himself "Liberal with a Gun" or something like that... WTF??
Back then, it just wasn't a place I wanted to be a part of.
Might be different now - I thought that RACHGIER dude that was here for about 20 minutes was running the show over there.

Too damn many people with some of the other forums - this forum is kinda like a small town where everybody knows everybody.
And there is a respect for each other and people are polite and helpful.

That being said - I still kinda miss blacklions-1966.
It was like fish in a barrel with that guy - I still wonder if he was for real...

There aren't many places we can go on the internet like this one.
And I hope we can keep it going for a while longer!!

I gotta agree with others, always feel welcome here. That other forum was a lot of bitching and stuff, haven't been there in years now.

As far as I know, Rachgier is still the admin over there and he's a good guy. He was checking in here once in a while, then he got real busy with moving from back east to somewhere in Colo if I recall. Don't know that I've seen him since.

12 months since my last visit to the forum........

Yes, I got busy as hell moving. Trailer broke in Indiana, had to abandon ship and haul what I could in a single cab truck with dogs, cats, and kids. Things got crazy. BUT to answer a couple of questions, CMG did buy Group Builder out. All of their forums belong to CMG/Outdoor Hub now. We did have some issues switching over with the new cloud servers and transitioned through about 6 different forum managers from the evil overlords before they rehired the old one from Group Builder back. I'm still site ADMIN, and we've had a pretty significant shakeup of staff and membership. We're in the process of transitioning to a new forum software, and have an updated phone app for HPFF now. I am the ONLY active administrator, even though you will see automated messages from Austin. "Austin" is the CMG admin account and is 'monitored' by about 5 different people.

One of the bigger changes we had is I instituted a subscription policy awarding free supporting memberships to all LEO's and Vets, active or retired. We've updated our rules to be a bit more lenient towards conduct infractions, AND the only way you get banned at HPFF is by earning it. You essentially have to shit in my cornflakes so bad that I can't even find the bowl.

We're still dealing with some issues thanks to their programmers breaking the code, and refusing to let me help fix it. Moot point now that we're migrating to new software, I suppose.

I'm not going to say that we don't have our fair share of jerkoffs over there, but we do curb most of the clique-ish BS. Don't worry, I'm not back here trying to convince you to come hang out with us. I know there were a lot of hard feelings from back before my time.

I'll try to get back here more often than every 12 months. I've been super busy enjoying Colorado, and am looking forward to my second hunting season. Archery antelope kicks off in 6 weeks.

Good to see you visit Rach!!! Bummer about the rough move... that's a bitch! Oh, BTW you said "shit in my cornflakes" and you can't say "shit " here! J/K! lol

Glad you're diggin Colo too! And it's good to know that "Austin" isn't just one bad guy sent in to usurp you. I wondered about that the other day.

No hard feelings here, the people that caused the trouble are long gone..
This is my home so I pretty well stick here but I have no problems with anyone that wants to jump back and forth between the two.

Its all about having fun, helping fellow Hi Point owners and hanging out with friends, right?

Absolutely.

And I had a double MI back in May, so I'm up to like 8 or 9 heart attacks now.

I need to find a better photo sharing source. photobucket sucks. I've got tons of pictures from my pronghorn hunts and elk camp last year.

Yeah photobucket is getting to be more trouble than its worth, if I can find a place that will automatically transfer the pic I will leave them.

I was supposed to have knee replacement surgery this Monday, but they saw something on the pre surgery EKG that they didn't like... I am waiting for them to set me up for more tests..
Darn ticker always causing me trouble.

I just tonight wrote Photofucket an extensive letter to close my acct, that they were convenient but have always sucked an d had problems, and to CLOSE my acct!
I am currently using imgur where "most" of my photos have long since been duplicated. So it's imgur for now.... for what it's worth.
