Those combloc pistols are some pretty nice pistols all in all.

After my suggestion to him a few months ago, my dad just thought of it yesterday that he should get an FFL himself just to save him the money and get in on the dealer discounts. Which FFL would be the best for that?

He would most likely want the FFL 03 curios and relic collectors license... you cannot buy any guns with it that are not on the approved curio and relic list, and you cannot buy just to resell for profit.

The FFL01 dealers license is for people that want to sell guns for a living or second income... they will not give that one to someone that just wants to cut the middleman gun dealer out and save money on guns for their own collection.

Went to the range today and shot the hell out of some targets with my 9mm. Shot my dad's P-64 and his Sig 9mm. I really love those PMC rounds, I think they're about my favorite. Not one jam out of them. There's a local company here that loads ammo called Mountaineer Ammo. They sell to places like Ace Hardware and the local Police and Sheriff Officers. We used to think they were good ammo, but lately I think they're getting too greedy and using cheaper brass and ball than before, I had 2 jams side by side with those, they are quite expensive for what you get so we're saying good bye to them. I do have one question for you guys though. I really fell in love with those RWS shells for my .45, haven't seen them yet for the 9mm, at least not at our LGS. They are made in Hungary. I have seen Fiocci shells before but never really looked too close to them, but today I picked up a box and noticed that they too are made in Hungary and were 3 bucks cheaper so I bought 2 boxes. Does anyone here have an opinion on Fiocci ammo? Are they any good? I suppose it's too late to ask this since I already bought them and I can judge for myself, but I won't get to go shooting with him again for at least another week and I don't want to wait.
Thanks.................

Good. I hope they're as good as the RWS rounds. My dad kept telling me they were Jap shells. Lol.

Well, since you asked, it's hit or miss as far as I am concerned. Not a bad ammo, but look out for ejection issues. I believe that the Fiocci ammo has a thinner base where the ejector key grabs. I would shoot a few to see if it ejects shorter than normal with other ammo. If it does, just shy away from rapid fire and you should be OK. I know in my 4595TS, it usually ejects spent casings about 6-8 feet. With Fiocci, I have noticed it at about 2-3 feet. Other .45's have had them as short as 10 -12 inches. Just be aware of it, some guns love it, some hate it, you know the story.... :thumb:

Ok thanks. I should have just paid a few more bucks and got the RWS which I know is reliable.
I should go with what I know. Food for thought.

OK guys. I finally got out to the range today with my dad, it was a fantastic day for us.
I took my 995ts to shoot for the very first time. Man it was, and still is inaccurate. I've got it narrowed down to shooting to the right about 4 inches. It was shooting very low and to the right. I dropped the front sight down all the way and raised the back sight up a bit. I shot 100 rounds through it without a flaw, except I had to forward assist one of the very last rounds, I suppose the ramp was getting a bit dirty.
I was very impressed that I didn't have to fiddle with the mag lips or ears at all.
The second box of 50 rounds I was shooting was 115 gr. JHP with nickel plated brass. I picked those up as I'm told they are very good brass. My 995ts seems to eject to the right and forward, after I found this out, almost all the spent brass was damn near in the same spot.
Somehow my flashlight got turned on and left on and now it doesn't work. Can I get a tap call for the flashlight as well?
I'm very interested in feedback as to what I might do to get it accurate with less ammo.
Thanks...

No I don't shoot off of supports. I normally sight my guns in the way I'm going to shoot them. For only 25 yards I really shouldn't need any support, for 300 yards, I might consider a bipod or some kind of support. I think I have it pretty close. I'm getting ready to bring the rear sight over a click or so and clean the barrel.
Thanks for the input bud.
