so I got a 995ts in a trade, as soon as i got it I went to my buddies house. We spent probably 5-6 hours putting the ATI stock on it.

Right at the end of the project I look on ATI's website and it says "WILL NOT FIT THE 995TS DUE TO BLAH BLAH BLAH"

sure enough the metal receiver cover is way to big for the top front piece of the ati stock. so with some filing and lots of fiddling, we finally got it to work. I dont have the funds to buy a picatinny for the bottom of the ATI stock, so for now i have a harris bi pod on it.

So I took it to the range, and the cheap reflex sight wasnt sighted in. I couldnt see the target well so I had to settle for 25 yards.

after about 50 rounds i got it perfectly centered. and ill try to post a picture of the paper.

all in all I am very impressed with the lil carbine. I shot about 200 rounds through it that day, not a single hickup. it even fed federal ballisticlean ammo, which my ruger p89 wouldn't feed.

I was going to call you names about taking so long to do a 15 minute job...until I realized you didn't get the newer TS model ATI stock.

So instead...good job! Way to make the best of things.! And good job shooting as well. :thumb:

haha thanks guys, the plastic shroud is still so tight that it is bending out over top of the metal receiver, so i may dremel it up. it will probably end up looking like a mix of the classic 995 and the ATI.

Tell me something please. I just got a 995ts and I love the stock. What's wrong with it and what does ATI have to offer that HP don't? I'm just wondering. I work, make stupid posts and sleep. I miss so much. Lol.
I like the stock on your carbine, but mine seems to work ok.
Thanks....

Mech, here is an ATI and a TS...ignore the extra high scope mount on the ATI, it was a temporary thing. But the ATI has a shorter length of pull, feels more rigid, and is smoother for your front hand. Plus it looks cleaner all over. Especially when you add the Moerse Lekker barrel shroud.

Looks great Al, but if I had to saw here and sand there, I wouldn't do it.
I really can't say much. Do you believe I haven't shot my 995 once since I got it?
It does look good though, it's just not worth the effort.

The ATI stock was the big rage when all Hi Point had was the original monkey gun stock.

Honestly, when hi point sends me the ts replacement stock, im probably going to take the ati one off. Its slicker, but the atiati restrics what its capable of.

took the 995ts to the range again yesterday. not a single FTF or FTE. shot about 100-150 rounds through it again.

I really want to get my replacement stock back from HP so i can go back to the iron sights. this reflex sight is getting annoying.

As time goes on you will notice that the carbines are relatively trouble free. They are Hi Points best product IMO
