Well not anymore :D

I myself have shot a .22 before (Although I was about 10 or 11 at the time, and I only fired off 2 or 3 rounds, so it doesn't count for much), but my girlfriend has no firearm experience.
Last weekend we went out to some state land to try out all our new toys... and damn, we had a blast. If it wasn't for the heat, we would have stayed much, much longer.

The .22 was pretty fun and accurate at about 15 yards, beyond that it was difficult aiming without a good scope. (And I could use new glasses)

My 12 gauge.. wow.. What can I say. I ALMOST feel sorry for the guy if I ever have to use it. It was dead on accurate, and I'm only using the bead sight. But please note the emphasis on the word ALMOST :)

And our 995TS were the highlights of the day. We both ran about 50 rounds through them without a problem. No FTF, no misfires, no jams, no problems. We were only running 5 rounds at a time in our mags, as 8, 9, and 10th rounds are still prone to nose diving, as the spring is still really stiff, but I really can't say enough good things about the 995.

The accuracy is just amazing. Out of the box, with no sight adjustments, we were putting clusters in a 6" circle or less (First time shooters!) One at a time, or rapid semi action the gun was just great for enjoying a Sunday together before we headed back to work the following day.

Hi Point is proof that great firearms don't have to cost a fortune. I definitely am looking forward to buying more products from them in the future :D

I thought the punch line was gonna' be "Thanks for nothin'!"

Glad you had a good time anyway. The more you shoot the better you get -- at least that's what I keep telling myself.

I just filled out a survey sent to me from Sturm, Ruger, and Co. One of the questions was how could they get more ladies involved in shooting?

I told them "Knowledge is Power". We need to find a way to slow the ladies down enough to learn about guns, gun safety, appropriate guns for the desired task, concealment ideas for ladies. My observation is that if you can get them to the range, with a basic gun course behind them, they experienc a kind of fun they they've never had before. Knowing what to do, how to do it, and when gives them an equallity that the fairer sex has never had. I also told them pink is not the answer. My wife's bodygaurd and LCR are matte black.

I'd be interested in what the ex virgin could say about getting the ladies involved.

Good for you and your wife. My wife goes to the range with me once in a while. She goes with me all the time if we're alone, but she doesn't like going when I'm with my dad because he yells at her and tries to teach her "Spec Ops" maneuvers. Lol.
You'd be surprised how many women are learning to shoot guns and a lot of them are very good shots. I see it everyday on FaceBook.

What do you mean by that brother? Or was it intended for someone else?

My lady was very apprehensive about guns until her 2nd or 3rd time out. She's still very careful (as she should be) and getting more familiar. Her gun is stainless. An attractive gun is a plus but pink isn't necessarily attractive to all or even most women and kids are likely to think its a toy.
