I've actually spent a decent amount of time in Texas.
Brownsville was my favorite -- 110F and rain! You don't even get that in Arizona.
Really? I lived in Arizona for 3 years - Ft. Huachuca/Sierra Vista. We prayed for the rain - cooled that 110 degrees down to 80 in a hurry! You could see the storms coming for miles...
BTW - I e-mailed a local radio host (I thought I mentioned in my previous post). See below - there may be good news coming for Lubbock soon:

Word is several are working on such. It’s tough because of how much clear space you have to have. I’ll be sure to inform all when it happens.
Merry Christmas to you and yours,

Hi, Robert. I hear you quite often speaking about guns or shooting. Do you have any knowledge as to whether anyone is planning on opening a new outdoor range in the Lubbock area any time soon? Since Rustic Range closed, the only place to (legally) shoot appears to be Patriot arms, which only offers (indoor) pistol-caliber practice. Any chance you could mention on the show that if anyone had any information about any new planned ranges, they might want to call in and share it with you, so you can share with us?
