My younger brother (now about 56) had it done over ten (maybe twenty) years ago, still sees without glasses. I don't talk to him anymore so I don't know what his eyesight was like before. I know he has loved it.
I had contacts once and never again. I was born cross eyed and have had two surgeries to correct it (almost). Even corrected I am legally blind in my right eye. But the kicker is that eye is actually healthier than my seeing eye. The corrective lens is less and overall it's healthier and better shaped. I can see it see it see's clearly which is an oxymoron I guess. It's a lazy eye, meaning it sees perfectly (with small correction in my case) but the signals get scrambled as they goe down the optic nerve to my brain or the brain itself does not interpret the signals correctly, either way I can see that I can see clearly out of it but I can't focus on what it's seeing. It looks to me like how the TV depicts tunnel vision, bright around the edges and darker in the center. Only in my case it's clearer around the edges and blurrier in the center at the focal point. That is why I shoot left handed but I'm right hand dominate.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.” — General George S. Patton
May we always realize the cost of our freedom. We can never repay them, but the very least we can do is uphold the ideals that they died protecting and honor them in the choices we make each day.

It's gettin close boys. The time is near.
The greatest RE-productive force is human selfishness (Say NO! to population growth!).

Just because you are unnatural, bizarre, bring problems on yourself, and don't fit in does not mean I dislike you...well, yeah it does
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!” ― Hunter S. Thompson
