I have been using WWB as I could find it locally. However, results were not so hot. I blamed me, and, less likely, the gun. So I ordered several brands online and tried them. I was very surprised to see the difference it made.

I started with the WWB, Winchester White Box, as I figured it had to be the worst. If I can get the photos s to load, you will see the WWB is all over the place. When I saw the group, I thought, "Man, I am a HACK!"

Shot from a semi rest, my elbows on the shelf at the range. Obviously would have been more accurate with a real bench Image

Second batch was Northern Hills, 135 FMJ, remanufactured. Was surprised at the size of the group. MUCH better. I like it.

3rd batch was CCI 165 FMJ, aluminum cased. (groups were all shot while adjusting the scope).

Better group.

Did a quick adjustment to the scope and shot a 5 shot group. I really like the ammo, and I love the gun. All shots at 25 yds, max at this range.

So, you might try the CCI in your gun. Check around online, someone will have it on sale.

This is the main reason I reload. Better and more consistent. Not to mention much cheaper... ;)

Good end results it seems, so it wasn't the operator after all? :hmmm: You certain?

When the objective is make noise WWB is the goto choice (what I do most often). otherwise I roll my own too. But since I don't try for accuracy anymore (too blind since I'm using tri-focals now) making noise is the next best thing. :?

Had two squibs in one box of 9mm WWB, never bought it again. Load my own now, and no reason to go back to factory ammo.
