Did we ever decide what the rules are going to be on this thing? Are there rules?

I thought we had decided all HP, 25 yds for the carbines, 20 feet for the pistols, offhand (no rest).

Okay, so here's the 995, with a new $9 sight! I used nearly all the ammo I took with me getting the thing sighted in, and then letting my boy shoot a couple (well OK, I left the box of Blazer on the table on the way out the door, so I had about 35 rounds in total :( ) and so when I got ready to shoot for score, I had half a mag of Wolf left, and 8 rounds of the HSM re-manufactured stuff. So I set up, shot a mag full, and was amazed at the difference! Seriously, I am less than impressed with that HSM stuff! But I was really happy with the Wolf and the $9 airgun sight!
And yes Ape, it was 25 yards, not 25 inches! And here's a funny thing, when I look under the red dot, I can see the front sight. No ring to center it, but the tunnel created by the sight rail makes a square that the front post can center in! I need to get down to the range again, and see if that will allow me to line up a shot at all. If it does, I think I'll probably have to cover the target with the post, but we'll see!

Dude! That's the same red dot I bought and put on my 380!
So did it stay zero'd for you? I never got to see if mine would since the battery puked almost instantly! :-(

Oh, and nice shootin! ;-)

Well, so far it did fine, through the 35 or so rounds...and I remember that pic now! My guess is that since it isn't moving with a slide, things are OK on the 995. I did have to mod the way it connects to the rail, I took the Weaver base off another cheap BSA airgun laser, and drilled one hole to match the holes in those clamps, through the plastic base of the sight. Bolted right on, and was solid.
The new rail clamps (the metal plates that get squeezed to hook the rails?) are taller than the original, and they allow me to see between the top of the HP rail, and the bottom of the sight, to the front post. Next week I'll see if that will allow me to shoot straight if the battery does die.

Cool.... let me know how it holds up ;-)

I have no real delusions about mine holding up on the moving slide to be honest.
I just thought for under 9 bucks I'd mess around with it and see what happened. :-)
I actually had planned on putting it on my Heritage, but the mount didn't line up.
I could still probably make it work if I bought one of the mounts from Heritage?

But like I said, it was just an impulse buy since it was cheap. ;-)

Not sure if this goes here, or in the other thread, so I'll post it both places! Here's my entry. C9, 20 feet, Spiderman playing card courtesy of my 11 year old!
