These are M38s - they've been more expensive than a nice 91/30 for a long time. I haven't seen a M38 for less than $200 in several years.

BTW; I think the M38 (and the cold war 91/59 ) are the best and handiest versions of the Mosin.

YUP, the prices for those weren't bad. I was looking at the rest of the scary Rusky rifles. What could be bought in November for around $500-600 now costs $1000-1200+. Some went up more, some much less but overall they also took full advantage of the sitchee-a-shun. Only the prices on the perpetually 'out of stock' items didn't increase. ;)

Those are actually very good prices on the M38 carbines... they are going upwards of 350 these days.

I hear ya ricky, but everyone still thinks that the MN 91/30s should be 100 bucks. LOL

Yeah, but everyone wants them now. Law of supply and demand, now that they fly off the racks they've figured out that they can raise the prices and still sell the crap out of them. I'm not complaining, my sight tool sales for them is continuing to grow every month, the wife gave the ok to buy a "real" mill here in a couple of months so I can speed production up.

Dunham's Sports used to have at least half a dozen on the rack. Haven't seen any for several weeks.

Thats the way it is right now... I have never been out of MN rifles, they are among my best sellers. But Im not looking forward to trying to tell people they are now 200 buck rifles because they cost me almost 150 to get.

I wonder just how much of this issue (higher Mosin prices in general) is also attributed to the devaluing of the US dollar. Inflation has been with us for a while and given the actions/lack of actions on the part of the worthless sacks of pooh in Mordor on the Potomac I'm sure it's accelerating at quite a clip. Anyone want to bet that within 5 years you can expect to pay $500 or more for a pretty standard Mosin M91/30 refurb? Well, unless something drastic happens anyhow.

Cheers,

~ Greg ~

Maybe grab some of the T53's that SOG is showing, not too bad at $94 if you order 3 or more....they oughta be good for at least $120 out the door for you. They also show 91/30's but say call for pricing and availability.
