Looks GOOD Mike! Will your camera focus at close distance? I'd love to see a closeup of the end result...

Which is cheaper and which is easier to do and get good result for amateur? Blue or Parkerize?

Wow! I'd say they are just a tad higher! I'm guessing though, that a system like that is really the only way to get a good blue...
I dabled with a small bottle of brush on, cold blue stuff years ago. Just made it worse. Glad it was a $20 gun!

They have a starter kit for 1000.00 or so. In blueing it's all about the prep.

Happy shooting Dave Gillespie - (Sharp Shooter), you will be missed and remembered.

We will miss you Jerry Roberts - (woodyubet), you will not be forgotten.

We are better off from having known you Dean Stephens -(ampersand) It wont be the same around here without you.

Well I dropped the parts off to him tonight. Hope he's happy with the blueing job.

I'd say cold bluing would be best option for amateurs/home gunsmiths. Chemicals have come a long way over the years, and ive gotten good results with entire parts and touch ups.
