Happy shooting Dave Gillespie - (Sharp Shooter), you will be missed and remembered.

We will miss you Jerry Roberts - (woodyubet), you will not be forgotten.

We are better off from having known you Dean Stephens -(ampersand) It wont be the same around here without you.

I would think you would use a bull the same size as a penny and if the slug is bigger than the bull, then all traces of the bull would be gone. I would consider that good enough.

look close at your penny, it very well could be a 1801 the US went to the small cent back in 1856 sometimes the 8 and 9 can look similar on the older coins.

When in the Ranger Unit, my Ranger Buddy and I would attach a #8 washer to a thread and hang it at 50 yards. With our scoped .22 rifles we would shoot the thread.

I thought I PMed you about that. After no response, I just figured that you just picked a name.
Oh well, I guess no answer is a good answer.

Hello MechWolf: I spent 10 years as a Ranger. I was with A Company 75th Ranger in Fort Hood, TX, and a Ranger Instructor (RI) in Fort Benning, GA. I did it all, Master Jump Master, Jungle Expert, Pathfinder, Demolitions, Heavy Weapons. Jump out of C141s and C5As at 20,000 feet in the dark of night. All to kill the adversaries who were against the freedom and liberty we all enjoy…

Here is my "Action Plan," let me know if this is good to make this fair and provable. I have to test SirShanksAlot's trigger so I can knock out two birds with one stone here. I will be doing the 100 yards with my 4095TS of course. I have a camera, but cant operate the camera and the carbine at the same time so I will video myself with the penny taped onto a fresh target, and send the target down the lane. This will be at an indoor firing range, so they might say something about the penny.

1. Set scope for 100 yards and zero on first target.
2. After this, get a fresh target and tape a penny in the center or trace around it.
3. Video the target going down range, place camera down with it still rolling?
4. Hit the penny, bring target back in and focus camera on penny.

Or...how about pictures instead of a movie? That would make it easier since everyone will be busy tomorrow and I don't have an extra person to film. If I am gonna do it I am going to do it right because I don't want the guys at the range to start calling me "penny man." :' p

Actually you can just trace the penny instead of taping it to the paper.... be safer and easier to see if you got in a good shot.
