Interesting that they came out with this.... sure learned a lesson from the 4595 business and kept it quiet. At least it's news to me.

Hmmmmm :thinkin:
Not sure about this one.......
I guess if the 9mm is too salty for somebody, this might fill the gap

I gotta agree with husker on this one. I've only shot the 4095 and that didn't have a lot of kick to it. Might be useful with sub sonic loads.

Aimed at people who are afraid 9x19 will over penetrate?

Whatever their reasoning, I'm not interested. 9mm is cheaper and the two cartridges cost the same to reload.

I am curious how popular this will be.

To someone who has a 380 pistol and wants a carbine without having to buy another caliber this would be a good companion gun. Hope it sells well.

I'd have to side with the comments by other on offering a higher capacity mag on existing carbines as priority.
.380 doesn't have quite enough punch as it is. 10mm offering makes more sense as an expansion to the line.

Agreed, I would buy a 10mm carbine to go with my 4595... cant really see me buying a 3895 but that's just me.

Though I must admit, I've thought a time or two about a .380 pocket pistol for close quarters... but not in a carbine.

I'd bet the .380 chambering required no change beyond a different reamer - it might even use the same springs as the 9x19.

The 10mm would probably require at least a little modification to be safe to sell so would require a little more trouble to add to the lineup

But yeah -- I'd buy a 10mm.

Anybody listening at HP?

380 might come in handy on a mini farm for shooting small critters but it cost way more than 9mm.

They probably went with a smaller caliber just to keep their current design, anything with more recoil would cause some serious problems with it
