I always clean any weapon I have after I fire it, habit of mine.
I had to watch 3 different videos on you tube and piece the info together to find the proper way to break it down. One thing I learned is Hi-point didn't build the tool around the carbine, I think they built the carbine around the tool. That is a nice little tool!!
When using/doing picture number 1, don't forget to push in the receiver shroud pins before turning the clips.
I'm really getting to like this weapon.

Mornin Boys,
I wasn't too crazy about how the sling was attached to my weapon. I followed the directions, but as we all know, directions are just that persons option on how to do things. So, with that in mind, I changed mine around a little.
First I tried this set up.
Image

I liked the feel better but the strap was to short. After making 3 different slings, I found the setup that felt right but I had to figure out how to mount it. Tried a few different ways and this one felt best.
Image

Now to figure out how to attach it. Again after trying a few different ways, I picked this one.
Image

I like the end result, it feels right for me.
Image

I ended up using the sling that came with it, I just modified it a tad,

My new weapon is coming along nicely, it looks cool, but with all 3 mags full, it's up to 8 lbs now.

I'm getting to like this 995 better every day. I am sold on a red dot scope scope.

Now keep in mind, I am not building a sniper rifle, I am building a combat weapon. The red dot fits that bill. The only weak part of a red dot, for me , would be at night around the habitat. So I've been thinking, ( I gotta stop doing that) If I got me a red dot with a lazer and set the lazer at 50 feet, that would solve that problem. I'm thinking about this one. I don't want a flashlight on my weapon, that would give away my exact location way more than a lazer.

Hobbles the sight you picked would most likely do exactly what you want it to do. I would like to check that one out myself.
