Hobbles I like your first red dot choice best. As far as the lasers, I have always found them to be not all that great except in low light situations so I pretty well gave up on them.

The first one is from China, so it's gonna take a while to get it. I'd be interested to know how it looks and performs though at that price.
The second one looks like a cheapie I had, it worked fine for a while, but now it won't turn on at all/
It wasn't the same brand though.
Let us know what you order :great:

Husk the last couple of items that I ordered from China arrived surprisingly fast. Under 2 weeks. Not bad when you consider they charge a couple of bucks to send you your item from halfway around the world ;)

Mornin Rev_Biff,
This month is tight $ wise, but July is the wife's birthday and she want's a kids 22 rifle. (it's small like her) So I will be in the gun shop on the first of July.
And, the way I see it, since I'm already there, and my birthday is also in july, I might as well get two rifles, I mean,, heck,, I'm already there . right? So I'll get the 995TS. Then I'll figure which scope I want after shooting it for a bit. There sure is a lot to choose from.

Hobbles - I have a red/green dot sight I'd just GIVE you if you'd like.

It's not a laser - just a dot sight that mounts on the top rail - but it's brand new and never used.
Looks like a guy can mount it as close or as far away from the eye as a guy would like.

I took it out of the original package it came in.

It's an el-cheapo and I'd like to see if it's worth a damn or not.

If you're interested, PM me your address and I'll gladly send it to you.

You can give me an opinion as to if it's completely worthless or if it is a decent sight for the money... :great:

Well,, jasonsch did say he's sending me a scope. And he did say he wanted me to try it out and let him know if it was any good, Soooo,,

IT'S ALL jasonsch'S FAULT!!!!!

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Image

But, there is more to the story..
I called my fav gun shop, (we have two. the new one in town and my fav out it the sticks.) I asked my fav gun shop if he had a 995TS in stock. He said no but would check on getting one and call me right back. 5 minutes later he called and said he called two of his suppliers and they said they haven't been able to find/get one for a while now. So instead of waiting till next month to pick this one up, I figured I better get down there and get it while the gitten was good.

Ok, I cleaned it then fired it.
Cons,
Hi-point should clean it, after they test fire it, before they ship it.
C-9 mag's won't lock in or feed rounds like I was told they would. They do not work in a 995TS.
Sure wished I could put the operating handle on the right hand side.
I think the guy that designed the 995 was left handed.
Pros,
I used the rounds that I worked out for my C-9 and Bersa, one grain over the min. I get the best pattern with my pistols with that load. Got a nice pattern from my 995 with that load. Got a good recoil from that load also. (that surprised me) I will play with different powder loads and the O.A.L., but at the moment I am very pleased with it.
This is the first 10 rounds, right out of the box, from my 21 foot pistol bench. My eyes are not that good for the sights that came with it, but they are nice sights. Looking forward to putting a scope on it.
Image

Bottom line,,,,, I LIKE IT, I AM IMPRESSED WITH IT.

Took it over to a buddies habitat and let him fire off 10 rounds. He liked it. Said he likes the looks of it also. I think he is going to get one.

It seems to fit me.
