I am REALLY getting to like MY 995. I went out this mornin before it got real hot.

I thought it was time to try hitting the smaller targets.

I used my green dot.

I fired off 10 rounds and seen I needed to move the sight one click to the right.

So I did and I was hitting them. The middle one is the smallest target. It's my pistol target that I shoot at from 7 yards. It's a lil harder to see at 100 feet, but not impossible,,, as you can see.

Some times I even impress myself. I like my weapon......

Thanks Ex_ISP,
I just want to push the fact that this $250 weapon is really a nice shooting weapon. The trigger is a lil rough and it's heavy, but darn,,, can it shoot.

This is something I just wanted to share.
I had a buddy stop over yesterday and I was telling him about my shooting day. I told him as I was adjusting my scope, I had it set a lil low. I fired two rounds before I caught it. Then I told him what I found. He looked at me a lil strange so I asked him if he wanted to see it. He said yes. So I showed him.
Now this is looking from my pistol range bench back up the hill to my rifle range bench.

This picture is looking down the hill down toward me targets, the way the rounds are flying. The one on the left is just a skim on top of the 2x6 and the one on the right is where it went a lil lower. You can see where it buckled the wood as it was going through the 2x6 before it went deeper.
Image

Look where the round came out of the 2x6. That is about 80 feet away from where I pulled the trigger and I am using 4.0 grains of tite group powder using home made wheel weights for the bullets.

I had to sand the seat down and used a rattle can of red spray paint to cover it up.

How about it!!! It might be your loads or it might be 9mm leaving a carbine length barrel. We stood up grocery store shelving and the 995 was punching through 5 shelves at 25 yards. It'll go through a car door inside and out like a hot knife through butter. One hell of a gun for a couple hundred bucks. It's why I always grab the 410 to dispatch woodchucks. A flyer out of the 995 could easily travel the distance through the woods a quarter mile and hit a car on the highway. Likely... maybe not. Possibly...yes. If it can do that to your 2x6 shooting bench, image what it could do to a passer by.

I agree. Always know what is behind the target. Friendly fire has done a lot of damage.

I saw a post a while back with a guy that wanted to see just what a 9mm round could do. Seems like he was shooting a carbine of some sort.... anyways, he kept going out further and further and IIRC at about 600 yds the bullet was still capable of going through a piece of 4x4 pine. The round may not be a personal defense one shot stop wonder round, but it is certainly lethal overall.
