Ended up on this website by accident. I found a Hi Point 4595 carbine for sale from a company for $397.

The strange part is in the description there is nothing that says Hi Point. The picture of the firearm is unmistably a Hi Point.
Strange marketing.

My guess is they are leaving out the words "Hi Point" because so many people talk bad about them and people not in the know wont give them a fair chance if they hear those worlds. Same people will buy the gun thinking its something else and be perfectly happy with it.

We are better off from having known you Dean Stephens -(ampersand) It wont be the same around here without you.

Looking into it, I found a plethora of shops selling them as LDB SUPPLY Carbines.

Gentlemen, I would say your analogies are dead on. Surely this company realizes that once a customer receives the product, they will see the HiPoint markings on the firearm. But you are correct, the gamble is in their favor.

They probably thought it through pretty thoroughly. A high percentage of customers high emotions of receiving that brand new firearm will override the discovery that it is a Hi Point. They will see up close that the firearm is not as ugly as they were led to believe. In fact, they will actually like the look and the solid quality. They will notice "Made In The USA".
Ah heck, I might as well give this thing a try.
Hi Point LDB Carbine lover for life without any type of complaint to LDB Supply.

It looks like LDB (a Dayton, Ohio company) is another marketer just like MKS and Beemiller. They sell firearms manufactured by other companies and in their ad they do list it as a HP product, if you know what you're looking at. It says LDB 4595TSCA HP 45ACP CARB CA. I was able to find one site that listed the sale of a LDB 4595TSCA HI POINT CARB, but yeah, they are probably trying to downplay the manufacturer.

Kinda reminds me of how some importers (EAA) sell firearms under their name that were manufactured by others.
