Forgive me if this has already been posted. Here is a link to some good information on installing the ATI stock. Moderator, delete if it is a repost. Maybe we could make it a sticky?

I don't know if it's here already or not Jack? If not then thanks. ;-)
IIRC I saw this same one on HPFF? I remember the guy in his camo pants. ;-)

I have seen this tutorial before on hipointfirearmsforums. It's very detailed and very informative and was very helpful to me. Sincce many are going through this conversion, and there are specific issues with it that are already known, it's great to have this. Good idea to make it a sticky or otherwise make it available not through frantic hopful search in old posts...

I've seen the video and it is a really good one, but I also got pretty detailed instructions with the ATI stock I ordered. I replaced a 3 year old 995 stock with the ATI and the only things I had to do were to ream out the holes where the front shroud bolt goes through to get the bolt through the holes and remove the plastic seam inside the handle to allow the mag to drop free when I pressed the mag button. All in all I'm very satisfied with how the installation went, and after I mounted a picatinny rail to the top of the ATI forestock and added a GSG red dot scope, the accuracy is amazing. I have to change targets after every 20 rounds because the center of the target is just one big hole. This is truely a fun gun to shoot!

Your adjustments are basically the same as most people encounter when installing an ATI stock AFAIK. Just be sure that you gave enough room for the receiver not to get bound up when putting the bolts through and you'll be fine. ;)

Why an ATI stock you can buy the new style HiPoint stock for way less money amd the install is easier. and the rails are already there. ~~RR~~

Well, for one......This was about the old style 995 before we had the option of buying the new stock. And secondly, some people still like the look of the ATI/Beretta look.

I put an ATI stock on my old 995, and while I like the looks of the ATI, I much prefer the feel of the old stock

Yup! Ergonomics of the old stock are better than all three versions IMO.

i liked the feel of the pld stocks also but they weren't as stiff asnd lack options for mounting all those goodies that scremed to be on my gun.I've got better accuracy with the new stiffer stock and co witnessed a red dot with the open sites , added a lite and frt grip all a big plus . All for a $60.00 upgrade . ~~RR~~
