[quote="dwnthehatch"]Hello everyone. I'm new here. I sold my 995 Classic and bought m 995 TS from SOG for $212 shipped. It's a definite improvement over the classic model. The plastic is not as flimsy and the last round bolt hold open feature is a welcome addition. Here's some pics.

I'm new here also, does SOG only sell to FFL?

Hello Indy, I think that SOG does only sell to FFL now.

Glad to hear that you like the new carbine. I suspect there will be a bunch of people that sell their older carbines to get the new one with the bolt hold open.

I hate to ask a dumb question but I have never purchased a firearm on the internet. If I buy from SOG, do they send it to FFL dealer then I pick it up from them? I wasn't sure how it works?

Its been a while since I have bought from them, its either that or you have to get an FFL that is on file with them to buy it for you. In other words, your FFL would have to send a copy of their license to SOG, and then SOG would sell to them.

No such thing as a dumb question around here, we are all here to help each other out ;)

That will be the standard stock for all their carbines from now on. ;)

I'm glad I got an old style stock on mine. I'm not too big of a fan of the new version. Of course, I will buy one for the hell of it :)

I'd like a rounded forend, personally, that would make it a no brainer. I just cannot stand the way the butt looks.

9/64" allen wrench takes it off but there is a ridge undre it that it fits over, to help hold the stock together I suppose.

Apparently. If you like the old stock, I'd start hitting up some of the members that converted to the ATI version, see if they wanna make a deal.

I do too. I'll buy another 4095 after the first of the year if they are wearing the new stock.
