I think the big selling point for the new stock will be that it will allow a lot more in the way of mounting stuff like lights and lasers without needing to buy a new ATI stock, or aftermarket rails...
Other than that, I don't see it as any major improvement; it should still be a love/hate thing regarding perceived fugliness...

I agree ajole.
But I've also been told that the new stock is more rigid than the old. However I don't know that it was really an issue before? Unless of course you spoke with a gun snob.

I'm with you there. ;)
They ought to try wiggling the ol' M-16 around before they criticize the carbines. Talk about non-rigid!

Not that I’m wanting one or anything but is Hi-Point selling the new stock A’ la carte yet? Or can you only get it with a new gun?

True..... That's the info Shirley gave me last week or the week before?
Basically they're just trying to keep up with production for the entire guns right now. But at some point the stocks will get ahead of the guns and they'll be available seperately. :?

We feel your pain, we are all cheap here, and Ape is the king of cheap.

Be patient, you will find one somewhere in your price range.

The good point about the new stock only on the new 995's is that is another reason to get one to keep my 995 and 4095 company.
