Saw one of these today at a nearby gun dealer when I was purchasing a Mosin Nagant 91/30 rifle. Price tag new was $299.95 which seemed pretty high to me.

OK the new ones are out. Finally .Questions .#1 can the old carbine be updated to the last shot hold open as the new models, and #2 will their new stock interchange with the older carbine. If so #3 are they available seperately :dunno: --RR--

Old carbines cannot be updated to LRBHO, old carbines can be updated to new stock, new stocks are not out for sale yet. You CAN however, send your carbine to Hi Point for routine maintenance, and for $50 they will return it to you with the new stock.

If you are referring to the stock Mark, it will be the same price when it becomes public as far as I know. You mentioned that you have had your carbine for years now, you could send it in for any updates it may be behind on, and get the stock put on while its there. Just a thought ;)

It is the new Target Stock that Hi Point is making for their carbines.

Sorry to steal the thread but are the updates free of charge? I recently purchased that stock you mentioned and installed it and now I am wondering if I should dissasemble it and send the gun in for updates. Will they ship it back to me or does it have to go to a FFl?

IIRC there is a 40 dollar charge for the new stock Capac Kid. You can call them and find out to be certain.

If it is messing up, yes, send it in. I believe if you send it in, it goes back to you, if the FFL does, it goes to them.....but you can call Hi Point and ask for certain.

The gun is flawless and I am very happy with it. But if they did some mods that make it better then I am all for having it updated.

I think Ape is correct on the price of $40 includes shipping to you and $60 for the conversion if you send it in to Hi Point. If sent in, it gets a complete check up, end to end.
