Questions were all over regarding the 995 TS stock fitting the 4095, back when it came out...
And the answer is, it won't fit.
The 4095 has around an inch or more longer cover than the 995...
As you can see below...I lined up the rear edge of the two covers, and shot the pic...

I noticed the difference in receiver covers when I got my 4095 also.

viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1527

I wonder if the "4595" will follow the short pattern of the 995 or the longer one of the 4095? My guess is they'll probably make one in between the two, and call it an "intermediate" action. lol

I was one of the folks that had inquired about the space under the top handguard cover. I had thought that it was intentionally setup that way to accommodate the .40 since it looked like it was already set up for clearance. Like one stock fits most. I was told this was not the case.

I can't understand the reasoning then, why they would have left this space. One post I read on here or other forum was that they would be replacing the receiver shroud to fit better into the new ts stock. Why? How much would that cost? So w/o proof of some sort of recall or trade-in program on the website, I guess I would either take it with a grain of salt or be hopeful.

Ajole and Wizard, thanks for taking the time to show us the difference in dimensions. Side by side and Top down pics were very helpful.

My guess is that tight tolerances are bad, especially when every guy with a screwdriver is messing with stuff. ;)
They might leave the gap to deal with heating, or simply because it was close enough...but I doubt they'll be changing the top cover...look how long it took to get the plastic stock done!

As far as the 4595 being between the present sizes...interesting! I always thought it'd be the same size as the 4095, just like the frames on the pistols. That would also reduce the need for yet another stock mold...and the cover is just a cover, so the slide inside could be different from the 4095 to handle the .45ACP, without changing the cover.
That's my guess.
I still can't see why the 4595 is taking so long. You'd think a barrel and a weight change to the slide would do it...unless they are doing something extra? Like a hi cap double stack mag!!! :scared:
There. Lets see if that rumor can grow! :funny:

this was the link that I read about the changing of the 995 shroud. (read HP995's response)

http://www.hipointfirearmsforums.com/Fo ... ic=21589.0

I'm assuming in this instance when he say's shroud, he's talking about "the shoulder thing that goes up" and not the receiver cover. In all seriousness, I guess if the rumor is true, they're talking about replacing the 995TS top handguard cover. Rumor is rumor is rumor.
