I took in a like new Glock 31 357 Sig today, am wondering if it would be worth keeping it and trade out one of my many 45acp pistols for it.

Thoughts and opinions welcome.

357 Sig, .40 necked down to 9mm, near same performance as .357 magnum, and lots of pistols chambered for it have conversion barrels for an easy swap to .40, seems like good performance from it, but is the ammo more expensive compared to .45? it interests me

I would do it Walt, especially is you already have an abundance of 1911's. .357 Sig has its advantages, especially on a Glock platform, I dont think you could go wrong with that.

I've got a G32, and I personally love the .357 Sig
It's loud, has a lot of muzzle blast and is just pure fun

Brass as .357sig is rare as 10mm. If you have swagging equip, not so bad. Also, because it is short neck, neck tension can be issue. Can be challenging to reload.
Very good performance for .357 slug.

I say go for it!! I've always thought the 357 sig is a very interesting caliber.
It makes sense to neck down a cartridge for more velocity.
Wildcatters have been doing that forever!!

I've was always kind of interested in the North American Arms calibers too.
The 32 NAA is a 380 ACP necked down to a 32 caliber.
The 25 NAA is a 32 ACP necked down to a 25 caliber.

I say we neck down the 45 ACP to a 25...
