Hello All,
New here and have had my Hi Point 380 and 9 for several weeks. I know this is for other makes but a cpl of things. I really like these guns. They shoot well and I like their looks and feel.
I recently added a booda grip cover and laser sight. The grip makes a big difference in feel and the laser is close to being sighted in.
I may buy a different make sometime but I will keep these. Price low or high does not necessarily translate into quality.
These are quality firearms. Simple but good and accurate in my early experience to 65'.
Good luck and safe shooting.

The best thing about them is their durability, they are the AK of the pistola world. Bury them in the yard with just a good lube job and dig them up a year later and go shooting, how many other guns can make that claim? Actually even Hi-point does not make that claim but I would not be surprised if it could pull off that feat.

Thanks for the replies.
Yes, the warranty is the best. Watching some of the videos out there trying to destroy them and not being able to and even if they do stop working the company takes care of it....I seriously doubt any other company would do the same.
Those tests if you can call them that border on the ridiculous.
Good shooting. Safe shooting

Regarding the tests... Yep! Some of them are pretty over the top! Have you seen the one where they hammer a bolt into the barrel? I doubt S&W, Ruger, Glock, any 1911 would have survived that.
HPs are tough!

I saw a few of his tests. Iraq veteran I think it was. It got so ridiculous that I quit watching them. All that did was to reinforce my decision to get to know these guns. I am on another forum as well and got some seriously angry notes but others watching liked my replies that were without malice and were with facts and decided they lliked me and maybe the guns aren't bad guns after all.
I had the honor of speaking to a retired Barry County deputy and couple of days ago. He has a friend of his that is on a SWAT team out in Arizona and after he is done with his regular duties he puts his block away and for his wife duties he carries a Hi Point 45. You really can't argue with that at least I won't. I truly like these guns and plan on adding a 45 to the 380 and the 9 fairly soon. good to hear from you again sir. Stay calm and shoot straight although it is my believe if we had a contest you would whip my tail.

You talking to EX? hahaha, he couldn't hit the desert with binoculars and a bazooka. Of course, who in their right mind would want to? And please don't feed the animals. :run:

They started out as Hi Point haters but have grudgingly admitted finally that they are ok for a "cheap" gun (their words, not mine).

They have even taken a JCP 40 pistol and 4095 carbine and reamed them out to shoot 10mm. :minigun:

I did a video on my JHP a while back (a long while). I still get folks watching it. Maybe I'll do another one this summer.

I bought my 4095 at the shop where Iraqiveteran8888 works. I dealt with the other guy in the video. Nice fellow.
I asked him about that video, and he said, "We went into the video thinking we would make fun of the Highpoint, but the Highpoint made fun of us".

I am glad to hear they are willing to admit that they were mistaken about Hi Points being cheap guns that blow up when you shoot them.
