Alright guys, this is always kind of a fun question to ask!!

Recently (like a few days ago) a member here traded me out of my EDC .380 Taurus 738 TCP.
I had only run one mag through it and it was always in a pocket holster - so it's basically brand new.
Had an extra mag for it too!! Sending it out to him today in the original box.

I just loved that little pistol...

Anyway - this member should be treated with extreme caution when bartering or trading with him.
This guy is a professional - he'll work you over!! :whip:

Anyway - I'm looking at 3 possibilities for a new EDC pocket pistol.
It HAS to be a pocket pistol - no other option works with my job.
And they are:

Beretta Pico

Remington RM380

Kahr CW380

Those are the 3 choices I have because that's the only 3 my suppliers have in stock!!

I've studied up on all three and I think I'm pretty sure which one i'm going to get... I think...

Just thought I'd see if any of you have had any experience with any of those three little pistols.
I should just get one of each - and carry them all at once!!

Whaddaya think?? Which would you buy?
Keep in mind - the bottom 4 on the poll don't count!!

Jason, have you looked at/held/shot a Bersa Thunder? I really have to say that next to my HK .380, the little Bersa is the nicest
.380 I've fired. Spot on accurate and a nice trigger to boot! I would suggest stopping at the LGS just to see if it's small enough for you.
It is a really nice gun that's not too pricey.

The Kahr is probably a good bet, they require a bit of a break in but they seem well thought of. It's also the lightest, I had thought about that one but you never mentioned it.

Eta: all more than I'd want to spend but I'm a cheap bastard.

I'm not familiar with any of the ones you have listed Jason, but I'm with ex if the bersa thunder is small enough for your needs they are a great little gun. I have 2 of them, have recently sold one and think they are good guns.

I'd agree with the Bersa if it wasn't for the weight.

The one that I have is the thunder 380CC very flat pistol with black plastic grips. much lighter than the other bersa 380 I have which is heavier and has thicker wood grips.

Beretta Pico all the way, you can change out the frame for ones of different color or with laser, also there is a .32ACP barrel swap for the Pico, take a few minutes and toss in the .32ACP barrel and on your way with a different caliber. i have a Taurus TCP and like it, but i would love the Beretta

Ricky,
I originally was just gonna get a Pico. Have you shot one before?
I thought they were kinda unique and figured Beretta would make a good gun.

But - some of the reviews I've read on it says it requires a pretty good "break in" before they're reliable - a couple hundred rounds at least.
I have a supplier with some "used" Pico's for sale - maybe I should try one??? :dunno:

Funny - if a new Hi-Point misfeeds or FTE - It's a piece of crap...
My SIL bought a new 9mm FNH thing and it does the same thing - but on his $500+ that's "Normal" till it's "broke-in"... :hmmm:

Anyway - I looked around some more and the Remington and the Kahr were also available...

Remington bought out some other company that was making this .380 - Rohrbaugh was the name of the company.
The Rohrbaugh was a very highly rated gun and Remington didn't change much - put their name on the grip.
But - Remington has has some Higantic QC problems with their pistols - so I've read.
But the reviewers seem to like it!!

The Kahr - I've seen them advertised on TV - never owned or even held one before.
Their Website is pretty cool - and the CW380 has good reviews as well!!

Sooooo - If it's a good pistol - would you be interested in Buying it?? :Smile3:
Then I could buy the Pico or the Kahr and try one of those out too!! :great:

I have a guy that I'm ordering a 9mm Springfield Range Officer Operator for next week.
I have to make up my mind on this 380 so I can order it with his pistol.
So the clock is ticking - and I can't decide...

What waltham41 and others have said........
I have the Bersa Thunder .380 and the Bersa UC Pro 9mm and they are exceptional pistols for the price.
Accurate and very reliable. They're not picky about the ammo you feed it.
The UC Pro is my EDC.

yes Jason i have shot 2 Pico's, and tried to convince owners of them to sell me them, neither had any reliability problems, the RM380 is neat, the Bersa's have a great reputation, as for Kahr, i have yet to see one that is visually appealing and they are over priced IMO, I know when buying a pistol it is hard to choose!
