I have the Bersa Thunder .380 and the Bersa UC Pro 9mm and they are exceptional pistols for the price.
Accurate and very reliable. They're not picky about the ammo you feed it.
The UC Pro is my EDC.

Volf - welcome to the forum!! :great:

Now - You didn't need to yell at me with those bold letters like that... )-:

A person can find about any gun they want - If you want to pay for it!!
GB has a good deal hear and there for sure!!

But, as a gun dealer, I can get a brand-new gun for myself cheaper through a wholesaler and it gets shipped for free.
If I go elsewhere - I pay a lot more for it, retail or higher for a gun in demand - and another $20-$25+ for shipping.

I want a small 380 I can pull out of my pocket and have it work reliably - and get from my supplier.
And these three are the only ones I can get that fit my needs.
And then Walt shows up with one for sale... (-:

I have a Pico and it has been trouble free. It is very small, which is good for concealment, but if you have large hands it might be too small to get a firm shooting grip.

The three choices are all DAO. The gun Jason is replacing, the Taurus 783 is also DAO. Much like the Sccy, DOA trigger takes some getting used to. I concur with the majority that the Bersa 380, with its reliability, accuracy, and field strip simplicity make it a gun that should be on the list. And...the single/double trigger helps keep you on target under stress. Of the survey choices, I pick none of the above. Put me down for the Bersa. Mine is a nickel finish but the black one looks wicked cool.

In my experience, Bersas are very good guns.
I've got 3 of em, and the only problem I had was the used one had a spring out of place.

First of all, you need to find yourself a dealer that has an inventory of pistols developed in the 21st century, not the early 20th. The he!! with what the lgs has in inventory, he needs to catch up, go out of business or learn how to use the internet and order things. He can have anything you want in your hands within 48 hours if he ever heard of next day shipping.

Go down the road a mile or two where you can have a selection.

Tincup, I think you missed the part where Jason IS the lgs. Jason works with several suppliers and they are the ones that are out of stock.

I'm a home based dealer Tincup and don't usually have very many guns in stock.
I'm sure not even close to being a "real" gun dealer like Walt (P & C Firearms)

And it's a 90-100 mile drive to the big city to see a stocking gun store like Scheels or Cabelas.
But I have stopped in and looked their inventory over. They Hate that!!
So I don't tell them I'm a gun dealer while I'm looking. :ninja:
I don't usually buy guns from them either.

I always wonder how many dollars worth of guns those stores have on hand... $100,000 worth at least!!!

No worries Volf!! Glad you jump in and say something - don't stop!! :great:

Well boys and girls, Walt shot me a pretty fair price on a CC Bersa. - And I turned him down... :gasp:
I've done some internet searching and I think I am pretty impressed with the Remington RM380
And the Bersa looks like it'd be a little bit bigger than what I'd like to pocket carry.
And I DO like the safety and simplicity of DAO!! One in the pipe - pull the trigger and BANG!!
And the RM380 has a pretty good trigger for that kind of action.

On youtube, I watched a bunch of ya-hoos run 500 rounds through an RM380.
It's almost an hour long... and "Live" with no editing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVYhZ1tvXTU

It only screwed up like 3-4 times - and it was with the same mag.
The mag was really dirty...
They cleaned the mag and it never messed up again.
They also use a few different kinds of ammo too.
Sometimes they put different brands in the same mag - and no problems.
That little pistol was really freakin' dirty when they got done - not to mention hot!!
And it was still going...

And all of the 4 or 5 guys that shot it seemed to be pretty impressed with it as well.
I'd say from that test, it's a pistol you could bet your life on.

It looks like it's just as easy to take down and clean as the Bersa too.
And it comes with 2 mags, which is nice. One has the pinky extension or whatever it's called.

So - If the fella ever decides to order that fancy RI Range Officer Operator...
I'll be getting me one of these Remington RM380's - and I'll let Husker know if the one I get is any good!! :D

And if you fellers wanna yell at me or try to get me to change my mind - do it!!
I'm all ears!! And this kinda discussion is fun... :thumb:

I just need to get back here a little more often.

"I just need to get back here a little more often."

Yes you do, or I'll keep telling everyone that you have monthlys! ;)
You say the Bersa "looks" like it's too big". I say humbug!

If you're lookin' for a Pers Def weapon to pocket carry, I wouldn't decide
on looks! I'd just make the trip to the store to hold all of them and then
decide.

Aside from just me, there's a pretty strong vote for the Bersa. Strong
enough to warrant checking it out. You may even have a neighbour that
has one?
