I'm glad the TCP worked good for you!!

I finally ran 7 rounds through that Beretta Pico last night.
Which is a 6 round mag's worth + one in the tube.
Image

It worked perfectly with the Hornady "Critical Defense" ammo I had in it.
The slide locks back after the last round is fired, which is pretty cool!!

The 3 dot sights are excellent too!!
They let me know it shoots about a foot low at 12-15 yards or so...
The windage seemed to be good!!

But a heart shot at the bad guy might result in shooting his balls off instead - if he's too far away.
On the other hand - this little Pico isn't really made for shots that far.

But it worked great and didn't have a whole lot of kick to it.
And that was what I was hoping for!!

I did take my pocket holster and made a modification to it...
I still didn't like the way the rear sight would catch when I pulled the Pico out of my pocket.

A little examination showed me that the seam around the top of the holster was the culprit.
When I got home, I took a pair of scissors and cut that top seam out where it was hooking the rear sight.

Now that baby comes right out with no problems at all!!

This is great!! I have a reliable DAO .380 in my pocket and I don't feel naked and afraid anymore.
So now - all is right in my world... :great:

I think most of us are at the age where gravity is no longer our friend.

Reminds me of our grand-daughter when she was about 5 yrs. old.
She told my wife, ¨Granny, I want my boobies to get nice and long like yours.¨!

Alright you guys!!
That's about enough "Locker-Room" humor for this post...

I was cussing that other pocket holster I bought that would carry a spare mag somewhere around here...
And it didn't work well at all with the Taurus 738 I had.
The mag rubbed on the gun and that 738 wouldn't come out...

It was like a Chinese finger-trap!!
It seemed to stick in the holster tighter the harder I pulled on it!!

Well, I figgered what the hell - I'll try it with this Beretta Pico.

By the way - A Pico is .000000000001 in the Metric system.

Anyway - I was VERY surprised!!

Image

That Pico and that pocket holster were made for each other!!
The fit together perfect!! :great:

Image

PLUS - I can use the mag with the extension!! I love that extension...
It actually helps tremendously when I pull that pistol out. (Draw the pistol??)

It sits just right - to where I can easily grab the the grip - and the extension helps - and yank that bitch out.
I didn't think it would work at all - boy was I wrong!!

I feel a little better having another mag available...
This Pico locks open on the last shot like a grown-up pistol. :thumb:
Swap the mag and move the button to send the slide forward - and we're ready to go again!! :D
You never know - A guy could end up in a shoot out.

Plus - it might take 8 or 10 rounds to make sure the Boogie-Man is down for the count.

If you guys remember, I've been looking for a Bersa Thunder 380 since last November and posted a request for your help back in March.
I've visited or called every FFL I could find within a 30 mile radius without luck.
On Tuesday, I took my wife to a doctor's appointment and while waiting for her noticed a pawn shop across the street from her doc's office. I decided to stroll in to look at his wares. He didn't have any Bersa 380s, but offered to order me one. I smirked and said, "You won't find any available, but have at it."
He called Davidson's and they had one in stock and I bought it on the spot. The next day, Davidson's had NONE in stock.
I just walked in the door with it!
As soon as I get a belly full of red meat, I'm going to tear it down and give it a good clean and lube. (As an aside, I learned today that "vegan" has its origins in the language of the Cherokee nation. It means "he who hunts badly").
Here's a pic:

You guys have me jonesing for a new .380.
I've got 3 Bersas, and they are nice shooters.
I've wondered about the Pico. How are they sizewise compared to a Bersa or even the Kel Tec?

My research showed the keltec was the smallest and least favorite to shoot. The Ruger LCP is a nice shooter if you can find one. The Pico was quite a bit lighter lighter than the Bersa but that's probably why the Bersa is a nice shooter.
