Anybody have experience with the Storm or Cougar? Does the rotating barrel really reduce recoil and muzzle flip? Saw a Cougar for sale a while ago for under $300 but didn't buy it because I was lacking knowledge. While it seems like a proven design, wouldn't others be copying it if it was superior?

They probably have a patent on it?
I never shot one, so I don't know about recoil, but I know a guy who carries a Stoeger Cougar and seems to like it real well

Had a Cougar... Nice gun but I don't know that it has any less appreciable recoil than anything else for it's caliber/weight...

We will miss you Jerry Roberts - (woodyubet), you will not be forgotten.

We are better off from having known you Dean Stephens -(ampersand) It wont be the same around here without you.

So...instead of a Beretta, I got me a CZ 75 clone. A Tanfoglio Witness. I gotta say it's the easiest shooting handgun I own. Awesome trigger, accurate as hell, and strips super easy. The low barrel axis really makes a difference. A friend is getting a Canik. I hope he likes his as much as I like mine. There's also the Sar and the Jericho. After 50 rnds I can see why it's copied by so many manufacturers.

Caniks are a really good gun especially for the price they sell at.
