I haven't heard anything about the Sccy CPX-3. Did it not make it through the beta test? Or, did Remington upstage the launch with their own 380 so they pushed the intro back? I thought it might be easy to offer it in 32 as well. Almost nobody makes a 32 anymore. I've been tempted to buy a Cobra just to get something else in 32. I paid too much for my Tomcat to knock it around. A little Sccy would be fun. Anybody hear anything since winter?

I talked to the folks from SCCY at the NRA show in Louisville this past May and I got to handle the CPX-3. They told me that the pistol will be available this fall and will be priced the same as the CPX-2.
I liked the feel of the gun and intend to be the first kid on my block to own one!

Once I got the steel casing unjammed from my CPX2 and greased the slide instead of oiling it, it's functioned flawlessly. It's not my favorite shooter but a smaller frame in 380 might be great for summer carry. I need to practice double action more. I'm good enough in single that I can hit a silhouette with my Phoenix from 21ft in the FBI Crouch. (A discovery I made clowning around after watching a 1960s training video). Double action is a whole nother story. My wife will sit with a snap cap loaded revolver and dry fire while watching TV. I just don't have that kind of commitment.

I just run a Qtip with a bit of Mobil1 synthetic down the sides of the frame and inside the grooves in the slide on my CPX-2, I've never had a problem one with it and I'm getting close to 2k rounds through it. Mostly my reloads but I ran a box of Tulammo through it to see if it would eat it, no problems at all but sure felt like they were loaded hot. It really likes the current load of 124gr plated and JHP's that I load up from Rocky Mountain Reloading.
