Looks a lot like my S.A.M. Commodore and I'm not sure that it's parkerized but it sure doesn't seem to be blued.

There are different kinds of bluing, if you don't have the metal highly polished you wont get a highly glossy blue.

Is RIA still putting the huge billboard on the left side of the pistol?

tolly I have had a couple of the Shooters Arms 1911's in the store and I thought they were a better looking gun than the RIA pistols as far as fit and finish.

Happy shooting Dave Gillespie - (Sharp Shooter), you will be missed and remembered.

We will miss you Jerry Roberts - (woodyubet), you will not be forgotten.

We are better off from having known you Dean Stephens -(ampersand) It wont be the same around here without you.

Yes, they still have their name big and bold on one side. Wasn't aware of the deal with bluing. This finish is very black, and feels a little rough but not overtly so. It just not a slick smooth feel.

You never told me about those Walt. I've been wanting a full size 1911 to go with the commander.

Looks to be the exact same finish on my Turk and it's a parkurized finish. Not sure it's the same but sure looks it.

If the mentally deficient are not allowed to own guns then why should they be allowed to make gun laws?
