Ended up buying a Taurus 709 slim for $190 out the door, it's got 120 rounds through it of mixed 115gr and my 124gr reloads without a single hiccup.

150 rounds through my 709 Slim without an issue. Much nicer gun than I thought I could get $180 out the door.

That's the thing with Taurus, it either runs great or is a problem child then your forced to deal with probably the worst customer service in the firearms industry.

Other peoples' problems always intrigue me.

I have owned Taurus products almost since the day they arrived in the U.S. and have never had an issue with any of them.

I have seen them beaten and abused to destruction, but never the "problem child" some report having.

Right now I have 8 Taurus/Rossi products in the rotation and not a problem to report with any of them over the course of the past 40 years since buying my first.

Over the years I have sent in two Taurus handguns for warranty repair, both were fixed correctly the first time, returned quickly and no fee.

One was a customers revolver that he dropped and broke, the other was a .22 tilt barrel semi auto that someone sold me as a working pistol and when I test fired it I discovered the firing pin was broken.

I can only speak of my own experiences with them.

Happy shooting Dave Gillespie - (Sharp Shooter), you will be missed and remembered.

We will miss you Jerry Roberts - (woodyubet), you will not be forgotten.

We are better off from having known you Dean Stephens -(ampersand) It wont be the same around here without you.

A Veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount of "up to and including my life."
