This forum is only as good as YOU make it. Lets all work together and have a forum we can be proud of! But lets not forget to have FUN while we do it!

Comments, suggestions and opinions are always welcome. If I can help, I will.

Happy shooting Dave Gillespie - (Sharp Shooter), you will be missed and remembered.

We will miss you Jerry Roberts - (woodyubet), you will not be forgotten.

We are better off from having known you Dean Stephens -(ampersand) It wont be the same around here without you.

A Veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount of "up to and including my life."

If they come out with one that doesn't look like a brick I might consider one...

Looks to be a very nice pistol. I like the DA/SA action with a decocker. When/if they make it in .45 cal. it may make my wish list. I've been coveting the XD-S 45 3.3" for some time. I don't mind the striker fired action with the Glock style trigger in a CC only pistol. In the winter, I'll sometimes carry my Glock 23 when going out, and switch to my Kel Tec P-11 (my usual CC pistol) when at home because at home the pistol spends time beside me on the couch or wherever. In and out of the holster as I move around the house and I'll sometimes grab for it without looking. Something I wouldn't want to do with the Glock. With the new XDE, I wouldn't bother switching when I got home. The only problem I might have with the XDE is the size. At 1" wide it's only .1" wider than the XD-S which is not much of a problem, but with a height of 5" it's .5" taller. I'm a little over 5' 10" and ~170# with a 33" waist and carry cross draw on the left side. An extra half inch is hard to conceal without printing. My P-11 (basically same size as an XD-S) even prints a little. Size is the reason I don't carry my Glock all year.

So, Yes, if/when the make the XDE in .45, and if it is a natural pointer like the XD-S...maybe. It could replace the G-23 in the winter at least.
