I've got a converter for shooting 45 Colt out of my black powder Pietta. If there was ever a reason for me to reload this might be it. The converter is supposed to use "cowboy action" only. At $36 a box I don't shoot it as much as I'd like. I have every empty shell I ever put through it stacked up in the original boxes waiting for retirement.
I wonder what the Heritage weighs. The Pietta with the loaded converter is pretty hefty. Very accurate though. The big single action revolvers are fun to shoot. The big 45 long Colt ammo looks dramatic in the cylinder as well. My Armi San Marco has the case hardened look. I'll bet that Heritage is a great addition to your collection.

I think the Heritage is around 44 oz, don't quote me though.
I want to get a set of dies for it and start reloading, but I need to get over this hump before I spend money on wants.
I wish the ammo was a little cheaper tough, and like you, I still have all my empties.

Try flickr or vgy.me they aren't bad, just make certain the pic being uploaded to them is sized right I guess.

Welcome to the Heritage club Husker!
I've had my case hardened and blued versions for probably 5 or 6 years now. I love em both!

I'm saving for a .45 Colt lever gun to go with my Pietta. I found a Uberti 1873 brand new, just need to wait till he's ready to sell it to me.

Uberti's are nice! But I'm a cheap SOB, so I went with a Rossi. I got the octagon barrel with case hardened finish for about 5 or 600. Then I bought the "Steves Guns" CD to put an action job on it. It's a sweet liitle carbine.
