Just think how few people there are today that could actually do that with the tools used back at that time. Probably less than a handful.

Nope, there are hundreds that can do equal work. Most are members of the Contemporary Longrifle Association or the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association. They have gatherings every year to show their work.

The finish and engraving work is still done using the same kind of tools as were available 200 years ago. You do not do that kind of work with a Dremil Tool.

Its great to hear that quality craftsmanship is alive and well. Thanks for the info! I would love to see some of them firearms at that show, bet there are some beauties.
