Picked up this Polish P83 Wanad 9x18 from a friend of mine a few weeks back with 2 mags and holster for 2 bills. I just realized that this is also a milsurp handgun and maybe should have been listed in the Military Depot thread instead. If so, please move it to that thread if need be. Thanks!

Very unusual pistol, actually the slide is stamped and welded instead of milled steel. I tried to use mine as a carry gun, that hammer makes it impossible if you have any sort of hangover on your gut LOL

Yep, the majority of it is all stamped, welded steel. I like it because of it being unusual and since I am of small and thin statue, I dont have any issues with carrying it on my person. :D

I have the very first public release of H&K's. The HK4 that came with multiple barrels. .22, .25, .32 and .380.

Likely had less than 100 rounds when I got it, ~4 yrs ago. VERY sweet pistol! And to me, it looks VERY much like
a Mak. I know it's not and not sure who copied who, but I sure like it. I've put probly 50 rds through it since owning it.

I don't know much about the Makarov pistols, and even less about this H&K, but H&K didn't introduce this until 1967 and the Mak was introduced shortly after WW2.

Ex look up a picture of a PPK... I think it looks a lot like one of those.. thanks for sharing, I didn't know one of these creatures existed. Any day you learn something new is a good day. Unless you find out your kid isn't yours... That's a bad day.

I'm guessing that the Maks and PPKs use an internal frame buffer like the HK4. If so and your pistol(s) need new buffers, I have a guy that laser cuts them
from new material.

Got scared once that way. 1981, SLC, Ut. Riding my '78 Suzi 1000 down the road and was a girl that looked WAY to familiar walking, pushing a stroller. Heart in throat, I had to count how many months it had been!
