The guy that cuts my grass told me he went into the same gun shop that sold me my used C 9 in May.
He has copy of the Sig Sauer that was designed by a former employee of Sig. I think the pistol is called a Sar??. This pistol he has shots great and the owner was trashing it and even mentioned that Hi Point was junk! Kind of a shock to hear this gun store owner talk that way about my friends pistol and the obe he sold me.You be surprised how many bpeople where I live have C 9s.
Country folks. Oh well.

I have experienced several gun dealers that have similar traits as those you mention.

First HiPoint that I bought, I called a local gunshop to ask about them and whomever answered the phone went on the "No, we don't carry junk". Awhile later I stopped in there and was chatting with a fellow behind the counter and mentioned my previous interaction, he and another fellow glanced at each other with a knowing look, then pointed out the C9 and JCP hanging on the wall behind them. While they didn't come right out and mention it, it appeared that they both knew which employee I was talking about.

Whats strange is that this dealer never trashed Hi Points to me anyway.Only thing he said about them was the fact he can't make much money on them because they are not very expensive pistols. Never s aid they were junk to me. The used one I bought had a after market 8 rd mag and I replaced it with two high point marked 8 rounders. Much better mags and work perfect. I also replaced the mag release spring which Hi point sent me free of charge. That took care of minor problem.

Dealers can be assholes and gun snobs just like anyone else. Not the best business practice, but it happens. The only gun I wont recommend to people is a Jennings pistol, and its not because I don't like them, its because they are out of business and you have a very hard time getting spare parts for them. They are a low end gun that will wear and break, with no warranty... Not a lot to like there.

Happy shooting Dave Gillespie - (Sharp Shooter), you will be missed and remembered.

We will miss you Jerry Roberts - (woodyubet), you will not be forgotten.

We are better off from having known you Dean Stephens -(ampersand) It wont be the same around here without you.
