But old to the world... Egyptian Hakim made in the late 50's early 60's. Excellent condition shoots 8mm mauser.

Have a gent coming down Sunday with a Egyptian Helwan Brigadier 9mm pistol (Beretta clone), he didn't know what he had and I had to figure it out from his cell phone pic. Thought it was a Beretta 1951 but since its Egyptian I guess I will keep it to go with the rifle

I guess Im collecting Egyptian weapons now! I have a Egyptian FN49 in 8mm but it wasn't actually made in Egypt....

Have you shot it yet?
I've never handled one of those.

You pick up a bunch of cool stuff. Let us know what you think of it once you get a chance to shoot it.

Maybe I should open a gun store so I can own some cool guns too!

Havent shot it yet, its a very interesting rifle especially how you charge the weapon.

Amp I highly suggest getting an FFL license .. the hassle is worth the collection you can build up. Hell I have 3 Russian SKS rifles, one of them is excellent and never went through the mandatory refurb!

Sweet rifle Walt. The pistol will go great with it. I want to get an Argentine rifle to go with my Ballester Molina.

Have you shot 8mm Mauser before Walt? I have one but have never fired it... curious to know how it shoots!

And that is BEAUTIFUL wood! (That's what my wife says!  :funny: :roflol: )

Ex I have a handful of various Mausers and a Egyptian FN49. The Mausers have a bit of a kick especially if you are shooting the hot Turk surplus ammo. But the semi autos are not as bad, partly because I don't shoot the surplus turk out of them LOL

I would say it has the same kick as a 30 06 or thereabouts

They are nice. The ones I shot were fairly accurate.

I once owned an Egyptian Helwan 9mm pistol. It was based on the Beretta Model 1951.

It shot well. Better than I could shoot it. Eight rounds single stack.

I miss that pistol - it was my first 9mm.
