Got to thinking this morning about how much fun Commie rifles are.
I haven't had any of these out for a while
Anybody else get stiff nipples when the commies come to play? (that was a disturbing mental image right?)

Mot a real good picture, but my 91/30 Mosin, a real sweetheart and a definite keeper
Image

My M44 bought from a member of this very forum :great:
Also a keeper.

A Chinese SKS
Came to me with a Bubba stock and Tapco mags.
I hated it, it was unreliable and ugley
Image
So I got a Monte Carlo stock for it and a steel 15 round mag (Since been replaced by a stock 10 round fixed mag)
Now it's a good shooter, never fails and I think it looks good too
Image
Then I got another Chinese SKS, all numbers matching, all original except for a rubber butt pad.

During one of the panics, I bought a Wasr 10-63 Underfolder before the prices went to AR levels

Image

Not the most comfortable shooter, but it's got the cool factor that makes it a keeper.
Image
Sometimes it can just be sexxxy
Image

Then I found a GP1975 for a price that I couldn't pass up on a different forum
I had a problem with it piercing primers, but bought a new firing pin and fixed it right up
Image

Then there's the Ruskies, the Saigas (if you ain't had a Saiga, you ain't had a full life)
This is the Saiga .223 in it's regular clothes
[Image

I experimented with some tacticool, but in the end, I preferred the straight stock over the pistol grip.
Someday I may do the conversion/restoration, but for now, I like it original
Image

Then there's the big Ruskie, Ivan the Terrible, the big 12
It will probably get the conversion in the near future, just because it would make this an even cooler shotgun.
Image

Anybody else got some Commies to share?

husk you STILL haven't converted that Saiga 12??? I have a Chinese catamount fury 2 12 gauge to keep mine company... am going to convert it over when I get the extra coin.

Is you 91/30 a finn capture? That spliced stock has me wondering.....

Happy shooting Dave Gillespie - (Sharp Shooter), you will be missed and remembered.

We will miss you Jerry Roberts - (woodyubet), you will not be forgotten.

We are better off from having known you Dean Stephens -(ampersand) It wont be the same around here without you.

I dunno :dunno:
I think it's just a regular Russian. it has the Tula star and was in with a batch of 91\30s at Cabela's.
It was one of the display guns, and when I took it up to the counter, they were going to get me one out of the back.
I told them "nope, I want this one"
It was actually that splice and the brass pieces that drew me to that rifle.

Look on the left side of the receiver down from the star.. if there is a square box with SA in it its a fin capture for sure... the older mosins were the ones they captured the most because the got the majority of them during the winter war in the very early 40's

Even if its not a Finnish capture, I love the wood. If you ever decide to part with it, please let me know.
